Hello there! I’m Joseph Thomas, a writer, speaker, comedian, educator, and 5th-generation funeral director and embalmer living in Memphis, Tennessee with my wife (Natalie), our three kids, and one dog.
I am a gifted speaker and storyteller who brings laughter into any and every subject, even traditionally sad ones like death and grief, a performer with Memphis, Tennessee’s own improv and sketch troupe, The Bluff City Liars, and a contributor for a variety of publications including humor sites and actual, real-life newspapers.
With a background in funeral service, I’m obviously a blast at parties and an expert at letting people believe they’re the first to ever say, “I bet people are dying to come see you!” I’m nothing if not polite.
